==========================================

Wanted to find out if anybody has or had a horse that
is not able to have electrolytes? How it was discovered and
how it is handled at rides?
I know electrolytes are releatively new to endurance riding. I have been a
volunteer at Tevis for 18 years and know the old days.
My mare had a major colic at an endurance ride this year
one of the possibilties or contributing factors was electrolytes. I gave her
lytes every 2-3hrs she was eating and drinking no problem. Blood tests showed
her magnesem was high. Our vetrinarian isn't sure if it is or not due to the
other circumstances.
Thanks for your input
