It needs to be applied where the horse won't rub
it. Also, the instructions originally said
to apply on the forehead, though I never did (might run into the horse's
eyes).
It needs to go on at the poll, on either
side of the withers, on either side of the butt, the back of the forelegs (just
above the knee) above the hocks.
