Subject: [RC] to horse with hematoma - Lisa

More hematoma feedback.

This hematoma was on my mares knee, not sure of the cause. The vet did
drain and wrap it, with instructions to keep exercising the horse,
change the dressing daily and re-wrap for one week using DMSO mixed with
some other ick that causes cancer in mice. Don't like using that kind
of stuff on my horse, so I used Schreiners Solution (vet had also
recommended this to me some time before) instead. We also did a week of
TMS. At least 90% of the hematoma was gone within that week.

Then there's the miracle story of our other mare who slipped and fell in
the ice and broke her pubic bone. Caused a vaginal hematoma that burst
on its own, very scary. But this stubborn Appy mare is still bucking
and kicking and rideable -- We were very lucky.
