RE: [RC] AHA and Juniors at the national ride - Jim Holland

This is a good point, Molly.  I switched my membership in AHA several years
ago from going through the club here in Georgia (show only) to the Daniel
Boone Distance Riders. http://aha14.com/clubs/dbdr.php

This is an excellent organization and although I'm too far away to be very
active in DBDR, my dues support all the good stuff they do for trails,
Endurance, and CTR. 

What is involved in being "affiliated" with AHA in this way? Could SERA do
this as well? Costs?

Truman, have we ever looked at this?

If your local Arabian club is only focused on showing, as was ours, 
organize and start your own AHA affiliate organization.  Right now there 
are only two of the 100's of AHA affiliates that have a distance and 
pleasure riding focus.  Another loud statement to AHA.  If you don't want 
to start your own club join AHA through ours (www.oaats.org).  The more 
members we have the more attention we get.
