[RC] Synergist Saddles - Karen Casemier

Let me add a "me too" to those extoling the virtues of the Synergist saddles. I had initially balked at the price, but recently scooped a used endurance one up off ebay for about half the price of a new one. Wow. Not only does the saddle fit my mare beautifully (I had planned to send it to Syngergist to refit to her, but it fit "off the rack"), it is the most well-balanced and comfortable saddle I've ever ridden in. I've finally discovered that yes, I DO have a lower leg in this saddle! And it is very close contact - most "endurance" saddles seem to put miles of bulk between me and the horse. I love the fact that should my mare change shape, I can send it back and have it refitted.

My typical response to a new saddle is to love at first, and then slowly find fault with it. However, while it took me a few rides to get used to the balance of the saddle, I now find that the more I ride in it, the more I fall in love with it.

When my husand finishes vet school, my present to myself for putting him through school is going to be a brand new Synergist. My current one has the built in water bottle holders and fleece seat, which I love. The only thing I'm going to add is the built in saddle packs.
