I ride mine with an Equipedic pad...but first, where are the patches?  Are they in an area that might have gotten rubbed by the back of the pad/saddle pack that might have rubbed or?  I've never had a rub with mine, only when I used my sisters huge old Western saddle that rubbed at the back of the thing because it was too long for her back...

I have a Specialized saddle that I just love!!!! Nice sweat pattern ect..
but I had a problem over the weekend.

I am using a wool back pad under the saddle.. after three days of riding
in the first heat of the year. I have patches where all the hair fell off?

Why would this be? Saddle? Pad? Could the neoprene have caused heat even
thru the wool back pad?
