Re: [RC] Road Travel - Jim & Drin Becker

am hoping (fingers crossed) to do the Big Horn this year, and
will be travelling from California thru Nevada and Idaho to get
there. Does anyone know if there is anything on the road I need
to look out for (ie do any of the above states stop out-of-state
trailers regularly and check for Coggins/health certs, or are
there any requirements on hauling hay through the states)? Any
info would be appreciated; I know it is still a few months away,
but want to plan ahead; thanks!!

If your travel plans include traveling through Yellowstone Park you MUST have certified weed free hay , they will not even let you take your un-certified hay through in bale bags .and I have heard of the park rangers searching through LQ's for contraband hay . Some of the rangers are very strict whereas others will let you squeak by , depends on who's on duty .
