[RC] secrets to hydration - Ed Kilpatrick

i read a very interesting article in some magazine a while back that included some information obtained from a study done by the U.S. Army about the effects of climate and level of activity as it pertains to proper hydration.   i will see if i can locate the article.   in summary, there was a chart that took temperature, humidity and activity levels into account and included a guideline of how much water you should drink in a given time period based on your body weight and level of fitness.

i am one of those people who just doesnt have a problem with it.  i carry water bottles on the trail and drink on the go.   at each vet check and hold,  i eat and drink.   water, fruit juice,(and those V8 Splash Smoothies! MMMMMMM!) sports drinks, milk, soda, and coffee are all on my list.  beef jerky is a good thing to eat on the go, or an apple.
i dont usually drink beer when i am riding because it doesnt go all that well with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  cowboy ed
