[RC] living horse museum near Paris--OT - Dawn Simas

Beautiful sounding museum and stables north of Paris if you are up for a short train ride into France.  I believe a 17th Century Prince felt that he would come back as a horse and so built this stables befitting him when he returned.  They put on shows, demonstrations, and exhibitions.

Dating back to the kings of France, the beautiful  and large forests north of Paris such as Compiègne and Chantilly are an ideal destination for a rest out of Paris. They are particularly beautiful in the fall when the leaves are yellow and red. In addition to the beauty of nature, these forests also have an entrenched equine tradition. Chantilly, a charming little town north of Charles de Gaulle airport, has a forest, a castle, a  racetrack and, close to the track, spectacular 18th century horse stables. In 1982, they were turned into the Horse Living Museum by Yves Bienaimé, a passionate professional horseback rider.
