....and then there was the corral panel accident last year where the
neighbors horse wrapped the entire corral panel system around my truck and
trailer.  That horse was pretty beat up, and so was my trailer and all of
my chairs, tables, mat, trailer ramp and my horse was freaked out pretty
good too, he almost got crushed in the mess.


And not to forget the wind.
The neighbor kids came to my door the other day with a real cute Anglo-Arab
and asked if I could help set up her pen (the owner was at work). They had
used one of those heavy canvas shades, tied to very heavy stock-type panels,
the whole thing was well staked down. A dust devil had come through and
picked the shade and panels up and the whole mess was collapsed on the
ground. The mare must have got out when it was up in the air as she didn't
have a scratch on her.
(A dust devil is the Southwest version of a mini tornado.)
