Don't forget that it's VAL's horse. This is how she
supports her "endurance habit" ... she's in the
business of selling horses. You can bet that horse
fetched a handsome sum BECAUSE it was qualified. If
the team really wanted Val & her horse that badly,
then I suppose they could have bought him.
