[RC] Time off between 100's - Amy Cieri

Gold Medal Stacatto, aka, Larry had an almost 2 year hiatus from endurance, competing a nice season in 1998 and only 1 50 in April of 1999. His owner Johanna Blackmore, gave me the privilege of riding him. He came to me the end of April 2000. We had roughly 6 weeks to condition and put him to the Old Dominion 100 as his 1st ride back. Completed no problem. I was worried about the lack of time to condition but Johanna said,"if he doesn't finish, I'll pay your entry." She knew her horse and he's one tough hombre. Not many like him!!
He had over 3000 miles prior to his 2 year rest so I'm sure those years of conditioning had a lot to do with his fabulous return and continuation of stellar completions.
