==========================================

Definitely gotta do this horse by horse.This is when you learn how well you
KNOW your horse.In 1985 I rode my horse"Skeeter" at Quicksilver on June 1st to
a 5th place & won BC.One month later drove to Colorado for ROC.Alltitude slowed
us down but finished fine.(Less than 50% finished)Drove back to the coast and
11 days later came in 6th at Mendocino 50 followed 3 weeks later at Chalk Rock
with a 2nd place and another BC.This guy was Not your average endurance horse
and I've never ridden one since like him.
This year I'm entered for Tevis and plan a race June 4th & June 18th folllowed
by training rides of no more than 30 miles a week up till we leave for Auburn
on Tuesday.Will ride out of the fairgrounds till Thursday,then off to the
camp.Can't wait!!!Will see if my plan works...like I said.It's individual for
each horse.This guy will have at least 3 weeks off after Tevis.Then will
evaluate for the rest of the season's plan.
