[RC] To tie or not in a 2-horse bumper pull trailer - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I am about to embark on my first extended trip with my horse (about a 9 hour
drive). Usually I bring along a friend's horse in my 2-horse bumper-pull, and
we tie both in the straight-load trailer. They have trailered very well. This
time I am pulling only my horse and am thinking of removing the trailer's
center divider, and leaving my horse un-tied. What I have read about
trailering leads me to believe the horse will be able to adjust her weight and
stance better without the center divider, keeping her from tiring as much on
the trip. I loaded her yesterday without the divider and she was able to turn
completely around in the trailer. She did seem a little wary of the new
configuration.

Any advice from anyone?

Thanks
