[RC] RC:Tigers In Malaysia - Nik Isahak Abdullah

Pam,you are right ,there are lots of tigers still in Malaysia but where Steph is riding there is no tigers!I promise you we will deliver her safely back to the States arter the Edaran Classic. I was just pulling her legs about the tiger story. The one you are alluding to is actually Bangladesh where the fishermen at the estuary of rivers meeting the sea uses masks at the back of their head.Tigers are excellent swimmers and has been known to swim in the seas as well at least in Bangladesh.Over in Malaysia tiger attacks are rare as there are still abundant of their natural food stuff such as deer and small mammal in the jungles. But occasional attacks do occur in jungle fringes on palm estate workers by tigers that are usually partially incapacitated by old age or traps etc etc.
Steph is bound to be mildly dissapointed with the way we do endurance in Malaysia as ours is usually almost nearly a 24 hour affair.Heat of 30 to 40 centigrade wirth unremitting humidity day and night of around 60 to 70 % impact on the ability of horses to dissipate heat. Thus if you average 11 kph overall you can already count yourself a winner!
