[RC] Eating habits and riding - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I have a 6 year old POA mare who has wonderful eating and drinking habits while
on trail rides and during our first LD. So wonderful that when we are
schooling in the outdoor grass arena it's a constant battle to get her focused
on working rather than eating.

I don't want to ruin her good endurance eating habit but since we also do
dressage lessons in a grass arena it's getting ridiculous at times.

Is there a way to signal to her, change of bit or something, that in some
circumstances eating in not to be done? I'm working on verbal cues - when we
stop she is to stand and wait for the "EAT" command and she is slowly picking
that up but there are times when she just won't wait.

She's got free choice hay in front of her at all times and I hand walk/take her
grazing on the days we don't ride but it's like she's starving for the grass.

Any suggestions?
