Nope-I've got leather on mine and in the wash it goes. Lay it out to dry and you'll be fine. I do try to do all my stuff in one load, so as to not distress the hubby too much. I don't think he likes finding tack in the washer and dishwasher, but they get so nice and clean in there:)

Okay just one more question!, so I have heard from almost everyone saying that they simple just throw their mohair's in the washer, the only thing is I have the mohair cinch from sportack.com which has neoprene/leatherish material around the buckles(so it doesn't hit the horse)...will this cause a problem in the washer?? If I did wash it in the washer, I would certainly just lay it out to dry because of the neoprene/leather around the buckles, but will it be okay going in the washer?
