Re: [RC] What to do with horses during storms - Chris Paus

Hay, don't you all remember the Fury episode when a tornado hit the ranch? Peter Graves told Joey to let Fury out of the barn because the horse was smart enough to find the safest place to be...

My entire life experience with tornados is from watching the movie
"Twister" which I have seen a dozen times. In the movie, there is a
lot of flying debris on all sides of the tornado, sometimes at great
distance, which is very similar to the flying debris we get in our storms
down here. I still think a horse is better off being able to see debris
coming and using his natural instinct to run from it, than being trapped
in a barn where he cannot see what's coming (only hear it) and cannot run,
which must cause an unnatural and unpleasant state of fear.
