RE: [RC] cheap hot water at the barn - Nancy Sturm

That is a great idea! We're looking at hot water heaters, but I was going
to try black buckets in the sun, too, as someone else suggested.

I have an electric tea kettle in my tack room. Rowenta.
Lightning fast hot water. When you can't afford your dream
of running hot water in the barn,
***not to mention the heavy-duty washing machine & dryer***
you can't beat the old kettle as a cheap heat source.
Toss one kettle full of boiling hot water into a large bucket
of cold water & viola! perfect, warm sponging water.
I use it all the time for quick hot or warm water.
Hot mashes or hot chocolate in the winter. Warm, wet rags
for udder cleaning & other nasty jobs year-round.
