[RC] barefoot w /not so round edges - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

We put my 18 y.o. MFT barefoot(rear only)a year ago.After about 3-4 months,we
had great improvements: huge fat frogs extending almost all the way to the
toe,hoof wider,all the usual claimed benefits,etc.In the initial months,the
quarters would always break out/chip as expected.However, nowadays,the quarters
and for that matter,the toes,are nowhere near as rounded as one would
expect.They are only very slightly rounded ,with NO chips,cracks,etc.Like
granite!The underside surface of the quarters are pretty much flat,also
contrary to expected.Chico lives in a fairly moist but very rocky and
challenging environment,where he rarely stays in one place for more than a half
hour at a time. He gets these rear hoofs trimmed and dubbed as necc. by the
farrier when he comes to shoe the fronts.And this quicker (yet again)breakover
at the back has really helped both of us.(Thanks again,Truman!)
