Re: [RC] gooseneck v bumperpull - LAWRENCEC BENNASCONI

There are a few g/n trailers out there that call be pulled with a half ton. If you get one of the two horse slant models, and do pay attention to the weight difference between brands. I am trailer shopping right now, and have found 2,000 lbs difference in the dry weight for comparable trailers.  All things being equal, a G/N pulls better, rides better, and not to mention you don't have to pitch the tent anymore. Make sure you stay within the weight that your truck is rated to pull. I have seen bumper pull trailers that would be heavier than a small aluminum g/n. I wouldn't  buy a steel G/N to pull with a half ton, but I have seen a really nice two horse slant G/N for about 14k. I used to pull a 3 horse slant G/N with a half ton, and it was a little too much trailer. Stick with the two horse, and you should be fine.

Hello, anybody out there care to offer an opinion and/or discuss the pro's and cons of a gooseneck v. bumperpull with a 1/2 ton pickup?  I could use some  experienced commentary. Thanks!
