RE: [RC] AHA Registration Fees & programs - Jim Holland

I love Sunny’s (Sun of Dimanche+) “Legion of Honor” plaque.  One of the “nicest” things he’s won.  Since he ran most of his 1200 miles in the Top Ten, only took him a little over one season to get it.  We got 12 points for his one and only win at Big South Fork.

As for Magic, who is a “middle of the pack” guy, it will probably take at least 3 years. <sigh>  AHA also gives a nice “distance” perpetual plaque (huge) with 500 mile stickers.

Sure wish AERC would lose that stupid “medallion” and give something like THAT for mileage.

Hmmm…”dash”? You mean “slash”. 35 miles? Dang, you must have an “in” with AHA. <grin>

So in my case, it's a long slow process to earn even a "+".  It took Chief

probably 35 miles to earn his, and he's probably now only about a dozen

rides away from getting the dash "/", and then I guess after that we'll

start working on the next 150 points.  Why not?  Even if it's only 2 points

per ride we'll at least piddle away at it, it could take years and years

but I can think of worse goals to shoot for :).  They did already send me a

really beautiful plaque for reaching the Legion of Honor milestone.    Oh,

and $40 back too~!
