[RC] blm mustang - Jackie Causgrove

Hi Claire,

What you wrote rather fits what else I have heard when a mustang isn't gentled well.  It seems that there first experience with humans is critical.  If it is done in a  manner that isn't consistent with the horse, then the effects seem to last a life time.  It isn't so much that the mustang is bad etc; it's more of a matter that sometimes trainers do not understand the horse that they are dealing with; experienced or not (and there enough domesticated horses that have significant issues to demonstrate that this occurs in all horses).

She was very lucky to have you and that you continued to work with her.

Jackie
