I agree that mustangs get a bad rap because any horse can be a lethal weapon at any time. But I do not agree that newbies and green mustangs are a good mix. Sure, there are a few stories here and there of green plus green working out. But for every positive story you hear, there are a hundred that don't work out.
 
It doesn't matter if the green horse is a mustang, a QH or an Arab, it's not a good idea for novice people to get an untrained horse.
 
I've had too many people come through my gate who want riding lessons and help with horses who have bought themselves a green 2Yo horse and find out they can't do anything with it.
 
I wonder how many of those horses end up at the auction labeled as bad, when really all they needed was a knowledgable human.
