[RC] acupuncture - rides2farI have used it on my white mare MP Zafina ( Sophie ), along with chiro and massage - I think it is MORE effective then massage or chiro but finding a knowledgeable practitioner here in the Florida pan handle is a big laugh - so I have not used it here in the south, but it is BIG in calif... T>>>> Yeah, my friend had a classmember in her advanced courses who was from CA and said their entire practice was endurance horses. The female vet who was at Million PInes does acupuncture on several big TB farms in Ocala. Her husband was very proud of her telling me that she works on one of the horses to be in the Derby and the trainer had contacted her saying he had the OK to send her to Churchill Downs if necessary. You might look her up. :-) I think the Chinese fellow that my friend took her courses from was in Gainesville., FL. She said he does stuff she wouldn't *think* of doing...like taking a bicycle pump hooked to a needle and pumping air into an atrophied muscle!!! (said he regularly treats some big deal dressage horse that way). She seemed awed by what he could do but not even considering trying any of that with no more understanding than she had.
