[RC] comfortable riding pants - Ed Kilpatrick

well ed, take it from another ed,  you can do distance riding in just about any kind of pants.  jeans, buckskins, bermuda shorts, and all manner of tights can be seen on the tevis trail.  if you are a good rider, you wont bounce around in the saddle a lot, so you wont have to worry too much about blisters, etc.   however, if your riding skills need to be improved some,  wear tights, and you will be glad you did, because if the seam of your jeans gets back on the cantle very much, you are in for it!.   there are many good brands of tights to choose from.  if you are kind of worried about other guys making fun of you, or worried about how you look in tights, just get some of those duke athletic briefs to wear under your tights.   what could be more macho than dukes, right?    i am thinking about switching back to jeans, and wearing a big cowboy hat when i do endurance rides, but then a lot of people get upset if you dont wear a helmet.    heck, i dont mind wearing the tights,   they kind of make me feel "pretty".   :-)
