==========================================

I've read with great interest the feeding of Alfalfa for 50 and 100 mile
horses and I've read Dr. Susans website info on feeding it. But I'm still
curious tho if it is necessary to feed a horse that is only doing SLOW (and I
mean really slow) LD's? She gets good grass hay, eats all the grass she can,
gets beet pulp a couple times a week before the rides or after a hard training
ride. She's on Platinum Performance and ground Flax (she's itchy). I can get
chopped alfalfa to feed to her if she needs it but we really are just competing
to finish, as in to finish is to win.

She's in great shape, excellent recoveries, good slow resting pulse. She's
also a POA so I have no problem with her eating.
