Re: [RC] Question on selling stuff - Becky Huffman

Depending on the type of account it adds up pretty quickly.  Paypal to paypal isn't too bad, but if you have an account that lets people pay by cc it's a fee plus a percent for each transaction.  I have a paypal account that I've used to take training fees and even horse payments by cc and  set up my ride entries this year to take paypal because I thought it would help people by making the payments easier, but  I've had trouble with the coding.  I think it worked fine for some people, others weren't able to use it.  but it costs me well over $2 per entry to take the payment.  I'll do it again, but hopefully have the wrinkles worked out of the forms next year.

Pay Pal is not free.  The seller is charged a percentage of sales price when being paid by Pay Pal.
