Re: [RC] Stud Fees - Chris Paus

In almost every case, stud fees for a good endurance stallion will be a bargain compared to the stud fees for a Scottsdale champion, and you'll have a better chance of getting a decent riding horse, JMHO. I haven't seen too many Scottsdale champions that I would take on an endurance ride.

Sorry about the long text line. Not trying to start any wars. I surely didn't mean to say stud fees should be $150, but that they are really much too high for most people to afford. I have nice horses, not world class, and I enjoy them. I'm not looking for a Scottsdale champion. I'm looking for a correct, sane, athletic horse. And I don't want one who goes back to the same horse 4 times in two or three or even four generations. That's asking for trouble. If the stud fees are too high the mares won't get bred and the population will decline. JMHO.
