Re: [RC] riding shoes - Truman Prevatt

I read someplace that the Araits were made for the horse owners that drive their BMW to the bar to take thier one hour dressage lesson and be fashionable enougth so they could stop by the country club bar on the way home.

I don't know if that's the case or not, but my experience has been the same as yours. They are as comfortable as all get out but they don't last to the abuses of endurance.

That's always been the problem with any of the Ariats, they just don't hold up to the kind of abuse that I normally put my boots/shoes through. As much as I love their comfort, EVERY pair of Ariats, in every style I've tried (about foru or five different ones) breaks out across the upper where it creases when you raise your toes.

The paddock boots are made of very thin leather, and aren't very wide. I take a 11 womens in the paddock boots, but a 10 womens in the Terrain. the terrains are wide, but with any shoe, you just have to try them on, wear them around the store for 1/2 hour or take them home and wear them on carpet for a while to see if they fit. jeri
