Just a reminder that you will need to register your premises before
November 1, 2005. This is the first step in the National Animal Identification
System.
At this time only property where livestock is housed will be registered, no
animals are currently being registered. Animal ID and tracking may soon
follow.
Horse owners who keep their horses on their own property will need to
register their property with the Wisconsin Livestock Identification Consortium.
If you do not have access to a computer, you can call 1-888-808-1910
to request a registration form.
It's really easy to register, just visit http://www.wiid.org/ and fill out
the registration form on the web site. A few weeks later, you will received a
Premise ID card.
Voluntary compliance ends on 11-01-2005
After 11-01-2005 penalties up to $5,000.00 may be imposed
after 11-01-2005~!!!
