[RC] used orthoflex - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I bought a used orthoflex on ebay. I've wanted to try one out forever and
finally took the plunge. It is set up like nothing I have ever seen before! I
buy and sell saddles a lot so that is saying something! I think the saddle is
an older slick fork, there is a seam down the middle of the seat. The girth is
shaped like an X, I've heard of those, but does anyone have an opionion on
them? The front rigging ring is attached to the saddle by a strip of Biothane
screwed to the tree clear up at the front. About the same spot as the front
concho. The leathers are also Biothane with Western Fenders hooked to the
outside. What I'm asking is "is this a normal setup? or did the previous owner
do some modifying?" It has the orthoflex stamp and Browns saddleworks on it
and a bronze plate on the back with a number. The biothane rigging looks
pretty cheesy. I just got it yesterday and I'm going to put it on and try it
out this weekend. I was just hoping for some input.
Thanks,
Mary
