Re: [RC] rider weight - Eric Drew

hey don't let my wife know that!!!!!  LOL

back on topic

I'm a fairly stocky guy 6' 220 [35 waist though] and I started on a 14.3 Arab mare that was maybe 900 pounds.   It was hard for her to carry me on hills, flats were ok but I still had to be careful and ride lightly plus she just felt too small for me.
These days my horse is 15.2 and over 1000 pounds and we just seem to fit as a team.  he has no problems dealing with my size going up or down any of the big hills we train on, although we do go faster and have more fun on the downhills when I dismount and we run down hill side by side....

I knew it........ That is why we have ANY men doing this sport!!!!  It's not the horses, it's the women in tight breeches and tank tops....that end up wet from sponging.  :-))

Men are so different from women, last year I was saying to my husband how it wasn't fair that breeches were just so unflattering- even people with "great" bodies don't look so hot in breeches and there is just no chance for my poor imperfect body.:-( My husband , who p/r's at most rides and sees just about everyone come in etc... , looked at me in disbelief, and said,  "women, in tight, tight pants running around and you don't think they LOOK GOOD? I LOVE breeches he said, ALL women look good in breeches!! " LOL ,
