RE: [RC] GPS unit - Jerry & Susan Milam

I don't have one yet Sara, but like you am thinking about it and the add on
End homepage got me to searching. I've checked out the Garmin Fortrex 101 &
201-wrist watch style GPS and it looks pretty good. Anyone out there using
it and the prices vary $113-150 somewhere.

Hi, all! I am looking to buy a GPS unit that I can wear on my wrist and
is easy to attach. I don't need anything fancy as I already have a HR
Monitor. The one on the Endurance Net homepage looks a bit pricey. I
wanted to know if anyone has a GPS unit and what brand it is. Plus,
what are your thoughts on it? I am hoping to find just a basic model
that is a little more affordable. I want to be able to track my mileage
as I do not have any marked/measured trails near me.  Also, does it
still work if you are in heavy trees? Lastly, are they legal in
competition or just used for training? Thanks in advance! : )
