claire,   you might not think so, but this is a very unruly horse.  it is not a headgear problem, it is a head problem.   sounds like a spoiled horse that has gotten away with a lot.   i know, thats pretty opinionated, but hear me out.   you want to know what to do?  well, if you want a horse that you and your friends can ride and not have problems, then either get this one professionally trained, or sell him and get a horse that doesnt have a lot of issues, preferably the latter.   there are too many easy to ride horses out there with great dispositions.  you shouldnt have to put up with these antics.    fwiw,    cowboy ed
