[RC] What does everyone else do? - agilbxr

Ok, what do those who don't have horses do for relaxation??  I took yesterday and today off work (woo hoo...playing hookey), and since it was pouring rain yesterday, took advantage of the lack of rain today and went riding.  Alpine was feeling GREAT, it was only about 45 degrees (in florida..in march. not normal), and it was dry.  I ended up doing somewhere over 20 miles in 4 hours.  Way more riding than what we've been doing since I've been trying to get the nag back into condition.  Apparently I'm doing something right, cause he had no concept of the word "slow" today, and was doing great.  He drank like a fish, ate when we stopped, and came back up to the barn still feeling great.  Best of all, he wasn't spooky!  I have figured out how to get speakers on my saddle, so now I have tunes while riding by myself.  Alpine gaits in perfect time to Simon and Garfunkles, "Maybelline/Kodachrome" song.  It's pretty funny !

Anyway, thought I'd share my wonderful ride today. If we keep up like this, I know we'll be ready for that first 50 in the fall....

Juli and Alpine (feeling fine, thank you)
