If you enjoy being judged on your every move on the trail and
in camp, that excells in a structured enviroment full of rules and
regulations. Well then, competive trail may be your cup of tea.
My vet has vetted a few endurance rides and he says he can usually spot
someone who has done competitive trail rides before doing endurance. He says
those horses are usually squeaky clean and are presented in hand in a safe and
sane manner... he doesn't have to be worried about being trampled on the trot
out.
