Yes Bob.I can certainly see your viewpoint coming from where they called 
the domestic baseball championship as The World Series.America is so big
and so huge even some of your esteemed senators do not even have time to
cover other States let alone other countries.It is precisely this
insularity that make international organisations such as FEI more
relevent.

I would agree if we were comparing apples to apples. Comparing American
endurance riding with FEI's international endurance racing is like comparing
American football with international football (which we call soccer). Two
different games.

I don't see this as being about insularity or exclusivity. I see it as
people making a choice about the future of their sport. 

My personal opinion is that riding and racing are two different sports, and
should be treated as two different sports - with different, separate
controlling organizations.
