[RC] Some Thoughts on Pacing (Part 1) - rides2far

So, I rest my case. It's sometimes hard for a horse who is well
conditioned in one type terrain to do their best in another. My field is
steep and barren. It's been raining for 2 days. I tried to walk down the
trail yesterday taking baby steps and landed on my butt. This morning
after eating their grain at the buckets at the top of the hill my horses
*galloped* down that incredibly slick hill bucking and skidding, having a
good ol' time. They'd probably fall down if they hit a patch of sand. :-)
