The only thing I would add is when you ride - take what the trail will give you, no more no less. If you come to a nice big flat meadow, this is when you can make good time and you might well be better off doing a nice canter or even hand gallop to make good time. It is amazing how much you can cut off you ride time by "riding the trail" and not screwing around waisting time in vets checks.

Of coures to do this you have to train horse to be able to move along over a couple miles at 12 to 15 mph - that's where the intervals come in.

You’ve already got a solid foundation, and frankly, based on your description, you’ve got plenty of speed base as well.
