Re: [RC] MUD!!!!! - Sundaez

One of the things you can try is to get your hands on some DG. You'll probably need at least 10 yards per stall. Trench around the stall so water has a place to go. Put cedarest on top of the DG so it isn't so hard.

I have french drains all over my proprerty and unfortunately they've become clogged with sandy debris from runoff from the hill above me. My trees are popping out of the ground. I've already lost one Eucalyptus and it looks like I'm going to lose a pine. Fortunately my horses are on an acre dry lot that slopes so they have dry spots to stand...they only go into the stalls to eat as the feeders are off the ground. I've given up feeding in tubs because they waste so much. As it is 2 horses are eating nearly a bale a day of grass to stay warm.

I can't believe how much rain we are getting her in San Diego...it's a mess. We have a break for 2 days but there is so much mud forget about riding. More rain to come too all next week. Warner Springs was supposed to be this weekend.

And yes I've had my boots suck off. On the good side I'm getting major muscles from lugging the wheelbarrow and I have two pretty streams running constantly through my former drylot. I had wondered why there was a little bridge out there when I first bought the property...now I know.
