[RC] Ridecamp Convention - rides2far

O.K. since so many of us are sitting at home...let's make the best of it.
This evening, at about 7:30 Reno time, thank your lucky stars that you
don't have to find an outfit that's sort of shiny/evening
type/formal/western and that you don't have to try to put on your makeup
in such a way that it won't alarm people who are used to seeing you with
no make-up. Go somewhere to eat that does not involve a line or cost $25.
Come back to your computer screen and let's have the Ridecamp awards.

Suggested Awards:

1. Most posts (someone who enjoys doing searches can figure this one out.
Man I hope it's not me)

2. Best advice giver:

3. Fireman award: (given to the person who is best at defusing volatile
situations)

4. Arsonist: Person most likely to stir up a volatile situation.

5. Most profound quotes:

6. Most amusing typos: (would be nice if presenter could cut and paste
example)

7. Best ride story

8. Best new idea: Should involve inventing a new way to use some piece of
ride related (for crew or rider) object. May involve using a non-horsey
object in a horsey way.

9. Best debater: (should go to the person who is most likely to go back
to the archives and cut/paste a reply which is impossible to refute since
they use a person's own words to prove their point)

10. Most helpful researcher: For the person who is most likely to
research a newcomer's pedigree if they ask, or explain how inherited
color works, etc.

11. Most valuable free advice giver: For the expert who gives advice
freely that one would have to pay for otherwise.

12. Most entertaining exploits: For the poster who has interesting
travels, or interesting exploits on mundane travels.

13. Best signature line. (give example)

14. Best e-mail address

15. Best foreign correspondent (must live in that country)

16. My quiet husband Bill suggested an award for the "best lurker". I'm
not sure how we can get votes on that one since you lurkers refuse to
post. I'm thinking on it though.
