[RC] A good working trot? - Kristi Schaaf

So, if even the really good horses aren't trotting
more than 13 mph or so because going any faster
significantly raises the risk of injury/damage, for
how much of a ride are the top 10 horses cantering
instead of trotting? I'd always thought trot trot trot
was the endurance motto, but then an experienced rider
put me on her endurance horse last summer and we did
25 miles almost all at a canter (and I - used to trot
trot trot - couldn't hardly move the next day).

It is how we "feel" deep inside that matters, cause each of us knows the
truth, regardless of how we try make it complicated. It just isn't.
