[RC] vaccination info- who to believe? - Scott Johnson

Well, I for one am confused as to whom to believe when it comes to vaccinations. I've heard everything from 90% effective to hardly at all effective and not worth the money or potential risks in regards to the West Nile vaccine. I know there is always a risk of a reaction and some horses are more prone to reacting, but as far as effectiveness, does one believe the manufacturer, the local vet, the person down the street who had a horse get WN when it was properly vaccinated? Is it just me, or it this a confusing issue? I know some people have strong personal feelings one way or the other about vaccinations in general, but I want accurate, unbiased information as far as the efficacy of the vaccination.
