Re: [RC] [AERC-Members] Competition - sharp penny

I am one of those that prefer the smaller ride and will
haul past the crowded ride to get to the smaller ride if
need be. I hate crowded anything and will avoid being one
of the masses if at all possible. The smaller rides have
shorter VC's, you can park closer to the VC, you don't have
to wait line 45 mins to get registered (even when you have
pre-registered by mail..aaarrrgh), you don't have to wait
an hour in line for food and then be told they just ran
out, please wait another 20 min while they cook up
somemore, ride management is less harried and the over all
atmosphere is just a bit more personal and friendly.
If there is already one ride that is a *name* ride and is
well attended, I'm all for offering another ride that same
weekend in that same region. As big as these regions are I
can see it hurting the name ride that much and some people
that wouldn't have gone to the ride because of distance
might go to a ride that was closer to them.

that would go 
to a smaller ride the same weekend.
