[RC] training bit - Ashley Wakeman

hey all,

well, today was the first day that i got on my horse
after not being ridden in over a year. i'm basically
starting a fresh. today's experience was fabulous. i
just got on him and sat on him. and he was happy! in
a couple more sessions, i will want to start riding at
a walk but my question is,what kind of bit should i
use? the bit that's on his bridle right now (and i
suppose it's the same one he was being ridden in
before) is a full cheek twisted jointed snaffle.
should i re-start him in something more mild? a
racing D perhaps?

thanks, you guys are great.
ashlee
