[RC] cabin fever/stall training - Teresa Van Hove

I dont know if I would hobble in a stall -prefer a round pen for this, but a good prelim to hobble training and generally useful thing you could do is teach your horse to lead by a rope around his leg. If the horse is calm enough you can just tie a square knot round the leg with the lead rope. If they might get excited just start by tieing a loop that will slide off over the hoof at first. Do make sure you have room to do this safely.

Your farrier will be pleased if you work on handling feet if your horse is less than 100% perfect now.

Cheers,
Teresa and gang
