[RC] RE:Chevy 2004 - Carol

To answer your question, I just saw that there will be a one ton Chevy available without the dually's either later this year or 2005. I just bought a new Chevy 3/4 ton diesel with the Allison transmission and love it.  Since I only have a 2 horse this is plenty of power for me. I wasn't too keen on the engine breaking system at first but now I love it, it really saves my brakes going down hill. We test drove the Dodge and Ford 3/4 tons and found Chevy to have the smoothest ride. The engine is direct injection like the Cummins but is much quieter. The other thing I liked about it is I'm only 5'4" and I felt like I almost needed a stepladder to get into the Ford and Dodge, whereas the Chevy was a little lower, thus easier on my back. : )
