[RC] speaking of scratches... what else could it be? - A. Perez

... are there other similar disorders that are NOT scratches?
My filly had areas on the FRONT of 3 out of 4 pasterns, just
above the coronet band, where the fur stands on end and there is
granulation on the skin.  Does not look like other cases of
scratches I've seen (front instead of rear, no pain, not
cracking, no scabs, no hair loss).  I treated it with a
concoction of Desinex, triple-action-antibiotic ointment and
zinc-oxide, but it did not respond.  Since it is not causing her
pain, and it's not spreading, I've been ignoring it for now.
