[RC] Suspensory Ligament Problem - k s swigart

14 year arab mare with a suspensory ligament problem. Now completing
8 months of rest with minimal improvement. Any suggestions?<<

Define "suspensory ligament problem," "rest," and "minimal improvement."

Suspensory ligament problems come in all shapes and sizes. Is it torn?
If so, where (high, mid, low, medial, lateral...if low)? How do you
know? What diagnostics have you done? What are/or are not the clinical
signs?

Rest also comes in all shapes and sizes: Total stall rest, pasture
rest, stall rest w/ daily turn out, hand walking?

Does "minimal improvement" mean, "the horse is still lame (if she ever
was)?" Or does it mean, "I had an ultrasound done 8 months ago and
found a 1" lesion and I had an ultrasound done yesterday and found a
7/8" lesion?"

Give me more data and I might be able to make some suggestions.
